A last trip, to Devon, for a few days

Not All Who Wander Are Lost

We visited Dawlish in south Devon for a couple of days by the sea. Our B&B, on a hill behind the seafront, overlooked the town and beach. We had a slight difficulty getting to the place: the GPS wanted me to drive up a steep narrow footpath. The view from our room

The morning’s walk along the sea wall, next to the main railway line, to Dawlish Warren, was lovely. It was about 1 1/2 miles on a bright sunny day. However, when we arrived at Dawlish Warren what we saw encouraged us to spend the rest of the day elsewhere.

After a quick look around we caught the train back down the coast past Dawlish to Paignton

Which wasn’t much better. Our highlight of the day was watching a lawn bowls game in Paignton
